About the blog
“Global Eye on Social and Gender Rights” is an initiative created by the Social Watch network, to allow civil society organizations from around the world to share their experiences in advocating for gender equality and poverty eradication, and to generate critical analyses from diverse perspectives on how economic, financial, and trade policies impact upon social development and the realization of rights. In particular, the blog aims to serve as a space to foment discussions related to development policy, provide insight on the realities of human and social rights in both North and South, and highlight best practices of citizens´ groups working on these issues.
This blog is open to the contributions of not only members of the Social Watch network but of all civil society activists, researchers, and educators whose common purpose is to promote social and gender rights. We welcome you to add your insight in the form of articles, comments and links, in order to make this dialogue on social and gender rights a truly global one.
This site is open to public debate and all views are welcomed, but Social Watch reserves the right to moderate the debate and edit or delete commercial messages, irrelevancies, racist/sexist/hateful comments and/or personal attacks.
